The Perioperative Nursing Program at Mayo Clinic in Florida is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary for a nursing career in the operating room. This program offers the high-quality didactic and clinical experiences needed to help you become a well-rounded, fully competent perioperative registered nurse.
Mayo Clinic accepts a limited number of new graduate RNs and experienced RNs with no OR experience into the Perioperative Nursing Program on a competitive basis. This ensures you'll receive a comprehensive educational experience with close one-on-one instruction.
Upon acceptance into the program, you'll be assigned to a paid nursing position in an operating room and be eligible for benefits. Clinical experiences are held at Mayo Clinic's hospital in Jacksonville, Fla., where you'll assist with general and specialty surgery.
- Graduated from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's degree preferred)
- Obtained your Florida registered nurse (R.N.) license prior to the program start date
